ABOUT KIRKAYAK KÜLTÜR 

Kırkayak Kültür which was established in 2011, is a rights based non-profit organization, which has been producing baseline gap analysis and policy papers as well as conducting capacity development programs with advocacy and lobbying activities for disadvantaged groups in Turkey and in the Middle East Region.

Kırkayak Kültür, through partnership cooperation with GOAL, aims to support Syrian Dom community who lives in Ş.Urfa and Gaziantep using the “Individual Protection Assistance Program” through an 18 months process. The project aims to connect vulnerable and marginalized communities to available state services and non-state services in Gaziantep and Ş.Urfa. Subsequently, experiences in working with the Dom population will be shared with state and other actors in the protection community and advocacy will be made for other actors to adopt best practices.

 

 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Program Manager, Project Manager undertakes below tasks:

 

-Managing, monitoring and reporting all project activities,

 

-Making work plans and managing the allocated budget,

 

-Coordinating and supervising IPA activities, including the identification of beneficiaries; organizing the information sessions, setting up the referral mechanism and organizing logistics,

 

-Supervise IPA teams and project staffs involved in outreach work,

 

-Ensure that data is duly recorded in the database and reporting is based on actual achievements,

 

-Ensure the monitoring and evaluation plan of the activities and their impact, such as the drafting of monitoring forms for IPA staffs and drafting of evaluation forms to be used with the target beneficiaries after receipt of services,

 

-Represent KIRKAYAK KÜLTÜR at Governorate level as related to project implementation,

 

-Participate in protection-related NGO/UN forums and working group coordination mechanisms,

 

-Support Urfa Sub-Office and project team,

 

-Support the Program Manager to ensure risks are appropriately managed, including financial safety and security, programmatic and reputational risks.

 

-Coordinate with GOAL’ technical coordinator and staffs.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS and EXPERIENCE

Education:

-Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Politics Science, Social Work, Public Administration. Additional qualifications in human rights, child or women rights, sociology, development and social development work are considered as an advantage.

 

Desired:

-Master’s Degree in a relevant technical field (e.g. Management, Social Work, Human Rights, Social Sciences, Public Health, Mental Health &Psychosocial Support)

 

Professional Experience:

-At least three years of work experience in project management, social work and protection fields,

 

-Experience in ECHO Related Projects and/or EU Funded programs,

 

-To have a knowledge of Individual Protection Assistance program (IPA),

 

-Experience in managing/supervising staff,

 

-Sound and demonstrable knowledge and skills in communication, strategic planning, and policy development

 

-Excellent analytical, reporting/ communication and interpersonal skills,

 

-Culture, religion, race, nationality, age, and gender aware/sensitive

 

-Good understanding of key principles of NGOs and social support organizations including, accountability, impartiality, neutrality, independence, cooperation and intercultural understanding.
